Fuck, Talon, to have to deal with math in of itself is ghastly, but to be slightly dyslexic on top of it, *shudders* that would make me go even more blithering in my idiot brain.
The second week of my junior year of high school I contracted Mononucleosis. Took me out of school for three whole weeks and kept me terribly tired for months after. Could never get my brain wrapped around the math. After going to an advisor about it the folks decided to take the advisor's suggestion and hire a tutor. The advisor suggested another student, which caused me to break down - why would I want a student to know how stupid I was? So my folks found a graduate student. Poor guy! I still think about him occasionally, and the absolute wringer I put him through, trying to get me to understand concepts I know were simple to him. When we finally got to graphing lines I finally started getting it, because something visual was occurring, not just stupid theorems, formulas and such doing nothing. I also had to be switched to a different chemistry class because the teacher was the honours instructor as well as a regular instructor (my class). She was a bitch and did not understand why I couldn't keep up. Slide rules were involved, agghhhh! The other chemistry instructor was one unit behind when I was transferred so I had an advantage of already screwing up the material once. The new instructor had a SUCH a better teaching style! I actually succeeded with the material I sorta knew and went on to do much better the rest of the school year.
Shucks!
*glomps Talon* Thanks! *nuzzles her fondly* It's nice to be needed, *snickers* and I thought it was my lemon bars bringing you back!
Well, it is late and it is time for me to nab the rat and shuffle off to bed. Need more sleep to think about the chaos later this day. It is getting more and more muddled in some respects and getting straightened out in others. *sigh* Wish October 25 would get here so I could hand the class over to Ekta and wave bye bye to it for a while.
*sounds of thunk thunk thunk down the hall, then a yawn*
Thanks: --> to Lia, my sensei, who has inspired me to draw again. I
wouldn't be doing this without your support, Domo Arigato!
--> to Talon, for sending me her fabulous fics, inspiring me with her writing to draw my first
illustration for a story and actually liking what I drew.
--> to Dasia, for her words of encouragement when drawing her original chara.
--> to Joules, a wonderful epic fic writer, for liking my art enough to want to post them with Talon's
and her own stories.
--> to Lutra, the other half of the epic team, for being so supportive.
--> to Jacque' & Becca Raddittzu, we met on eBay as bidder and sellers and now we are face-to-face
friends. You showed us the real DBZ with your fansubs. It's all your fault the house is full of
doujinshi! *LOL*
